A Melded role is a 1-shot role attached to another role that is contingent on the attached role succeeding (i.e. it isn't blocked, protected from, or otherwise failed). A Melded role can and must be used with the attached ability and can be used as such without being Simultaneous.
Lifelink is a special name for Melded (Bulletproof).
Standard version
A Melded role is a role linked to another role that can only be used with the attached role and can be used as such without multitasking. A Melded role is dependent on the attached role succeeding and can only be used with the attached role.
For example, Melded (Commuter) makes you untargetable if the attached role succeeds.
Melded (Cop) will add an extra target to your action and allow you to investigate someone if the attached role succeeds.
Variations
Melded can be unlimited use if you like complex interactions and are secretly a sphinx in disguise.
