X-Shot

X-Shot is a role modifier that restricts the amount of uses that power role has for the duration of the game. It is most common to see One-Shot Roles (especially One-Shot Vigs or One-Shot Cops), however, Two, Three or even Four-shot roles are occasionally used. Limiting the amount of shots a player can use their role is an increasingly common method of weakening or reducing the influence of that role in a game.

In most cases, when a roleblocker targets a person using a limited-shot power, that shot is considered used and gone, and is not refunded. Exceptions are made based on an individual game's theme and flavor or modding preference. The exact effects of roleblocking a one-shot power should be decided during the design of the game.
