Setup

Mechanics

  • Day start.
  • When a Town Venge Cop is eliminated via the Day vote, he/she gets one investigation, the result of which is revealed at the start of the next day.

Role PMs

Welcome to game! You are a Town Venge Cop.

Immediately upon being eliminated, you will be able to use a Cop ability.

You have no active abilities.

You win if all threats to the town are eliminated and at least one town-aligned player is alive.

Welcome to game! You are a Mafia Goon.

Your team-mates are names. You may talk to them here during night phases and confirmations only.

You have the following active ability:

  • Each Night, if no other member of your faction is performing this action, you may target a player. Assuming no interference with your action, that player will die.

You win if at least one mafia member is alive and all other players are dead (or if nothing can prevent the same).

Confirm by replying to this PM with a summary of your role.

Notes

The EV for different possible player counts is as follows:

  • 7p: 2:5 (35%)
  • 9p: 2:7 (53%)
  • 11p: 3:8 (31%)
  • 13p: 3:10 (43%)
  • 15p: 3:12 (54%), 4:11 (28%)
  • 17p: 4:13 (37%)
  • 19p: 4:15 (45%)
  • 21p: 5:16 (32%)
  • 23p: 5:18 (39%)
  • 25p: 5:20 (45%)

Variations

There are two different variations based around how the vengeful investigation happens. The first is that the result of the investigation is revealed before Night happens. In this case, if that result is an innocent, the Mafia can then kill that player, meaning that—unless the Mafia decide to leave one alive for some reason—there will never be a confirmed innocent during the day.

The second variation is that the result is revealed before Night happens, and that same player becomes Bulletproof for that night. In this case, assuming the investigation targets town, there will always be a confirmed townie after an elimination.
