helping with the wiki

I want to start helping with the wiki, where should I start? I found the to do list, and I could start filling the holes of missing player profiles, unless there is something more pressing.

first off, thank-you for helping with the wiki... right now, unfortunately, there's not really much organization to the wiki, but if i was to say anything was 'more pressing' than something else, i would probably say it was transferring all the games to the wiki (basic information for starters) & creating 'User:' pages for Scummers...

I'm sending this because you followed one of my edits (Machiavellian-Mafia) with one of your own, and I would like to be able to make edits without someone having to come along and clean up after me.

while this is a noble & lofty goal, this is a wiki, so things are always being changed & updated, and sometimes reverted... in this specific case, i was adding the {{profile}} template to the page, and rewording the start date listed...

Could you link me to what you consider to be the minimal & ideal player profile?

unfortunately, i haven't found one specific 'User:' page i like... i've seen bits & pieces from different Scummers that i've stolen & put on the User:LyingBrian page, but even that is incomplete... i can link you to a boilerplate for games that i really like... (Game Record (boilerplate)/Newbie - Mini 280 is an example with all the information filled in) i personally would appreciate any & all feedback you have for the boilerplate including any suggestions/constructive criticism you have for making the pages & templates more user-friendly...

I can only do really basic wiki code, but I can datamine extremely well.

any help at all would be greatly appreciated, but one of my goals is to make the wiki easier to edit through templates, etc... again, feedback is one of the areas i personally think we could heavily improve on...

Eventually I would like to have a large amount of data on every game played available in a user-friendly & concise format.

while user-frienly & concise information is one of my personal goals for the wiki, i'm not sure how much game data is appropriate for the wiki... there was a discussion about this earlier, but i don't remember where at the moment... i'll link it later when/if i find it...
on another note, it is helpful if you sign your comments when you leave them on a talk page... you can do this by adding 4 tildes at the end of your comment ~~~~... also, not necessary, but helpful is keeping your 'headers' (i.e. == help with the wiki ==) as concise & accurate as possible... thanks again for your help, and i look forward to collaborating with you in the future...
