The advent of the Nibbola Virus (also known as the Great Nibbler Takeover of 2008) started on March 3rd, 2008. DrippingGoofball created nine hats on the character Nibbler (from the comedy series Futurama) and allowed a public poll to choose the winner. Soon other people began taking the Nibbler pictures as their own, and the "virus" began to spread.
