i think the wording on this could use a little work... usernames ending in 's' are a little harder to pronounce, but this could just be a personal thing... also, if anybody knows how to get the template to display the first letter uncapitalized (if the user's username is uncapitalized using the {{lowercase}} template, i.e. mith), that would be great...
