Also, is this even a fallacy? Sure, it's not even close to a decent way to find scum, but I don't see how it's a fallacy. Aren't experienced townies more helpful to the town than newbie townies? 18:26, 10 June 2008 (MDT)

Actually it's a specific form of Appeal to Authority which, in fact, makes it a fallacy. The question about experienced townies is another common form of this fallacy (experience isn't incompatible with intelligence.
