A Security Guard is a role that may notify a player of whoever else targeted them. In effect, they are a Watcher that gives their results to their target.

Standard version

Each Night, a Security Guard may notify a player of whoever else targeted them. If their action succeeds, the Security Guard's target will be given a list of other players whose night actions had the same target as the Security Guard's target's. Actions taken by a Ninja are ignored for this purpose, and the Security Guard will give the same results as if the Ninja's actions did not occur.

If a Security Guard's action fails, the Security Guard's target will not get a results PM at all. This is different from the result a Security Guard's target would get if the Security Guard was the only one to target them.

Variations

A Visionary is to a Voyeur as the Security Guard is to a Watcher. A Visionary may notify a player of whatever else targeted them.

Welcome to game! You are a Town Security Guard.

You have the following active ability:

  • Each Night, you may target a player. Assuming no interference with your action, that player will learn whoever else targeted them.

You win if all threats to the town are eliminated and at least one town-aligned player is alive.

Example (with modifiers)

Welcome to game! You are a Town 1-shot Loud Security Guard.

You have the following active ability:

  • Once in the game at Night, you may target a player. Assuming no interference with your action, that player will learn whoever else targeted them. Your target will learn that you targeted them (but not what action you targeted them with).

You win if all threats to the town are eliminated and at least one town-aligned player is alive.
