About Plessiez

Despite signing up in 2006 (apparently), I've never really played much here ... this isn't very likely to change in the near future.

Actually, I haven't played much mafia at all since 2008. Played a few games since then, but a handful a year is probably my limit. When I was playing regularly I played at Westeros; I still play/mod there now and then. On MafiaScum I am more likely to be a hydra than to play as myself, since it's fun to blame other people (Zar) for my mistakes.

Playing History

My only completed games on site are:

(07)

Name Moderator Role Fate Decision Entry
The Wire, Season 1 Faraday and Nexus (as The Baltimore Sun) Wintell "Little Man" Royce: Barksdale Goon Died Night 4 PO-lice win Day 7 Original player (as Plessiezarus)
Lyncher is an awful role. Um. Town played pretty well up to day 2 - lynching the Traitor and then vigging one of the PO-lice. Things went downhill pretty fast after that though. I thought that kuribo did a good job after replacing into a fairly suspicious slot? And at least town managed to get to a final three-player endgame. Was glad to die when I did though.

Name Moderator Role Fate Decision Entry
Mini 1405 - The Simpsons Ser Arthur Dayne Apu Nahasapeemapetilon: Macho Townie Endgamed Mafia Win Night 5 Original player
Signing up for bastard games (and telling yourself you won't mind when they turn out to be hideously unbalanced) is not a smart idea? Town played fairly badly, on the whole, despite lynching mafia on days 2 and 3, but probably would have lost even if we'd managed to play well, so meh. I thought my case for saulres being scum was pretty convincing, even if it did turn out to be entirely wrong

(05)

Name Moderator Role Fate Decision Entry
A Dance With Dragons Mafia Eddard Stark Skinner: Non Consecutive Roleblocker Died Night 2 Stannis Win Night 8 Original player (as Plessiezarus)
A disappointing game to lose, really. Town seemed to scumhunt fairly well, and our own reads (that is, Zar's reads) weren't too bad either. No crosskills at all, though, and almost everyone had Pandora as town from day 1, which was less than accurate. Was fun to hydra with Zar, anyway.

Name Moderator Role Fate Decision Entry
Newbie 446 - Jellyville VI petroleumjelly Townie Died Night 1 Mafia Win Day 3 Replaced HonoryHitchhiker
Presumably the town only lost because they were cruelly deprived of my insight? I don't know, I have no memory of this game (or any of my newbie games, obviously).

Statistics

Town Statistics

I quite like the idea of quantifying how bad I am at being town. But Scum/Wagon Average can only say I didn't do well at lynching scum, not direct me to the parts of my game I should try to improve.

I'm stealing an idea from a post by hitogoroshi and breaking "town-skills" into four things I can try to (crudely) measure.

Transparency (How well am I read as town?)

My transparency score each day is the smallest number of votes I was ever away from being lynched, divided by the number of votes in total needed to lynch somebody that day. And my transparency score over the whole game is just the average such score for each day I was alive. 100% means I was never voted for, 0% means I was lynched on day 1.

Accuracy (How well can I identify other people as scum?)

I'm measuring this by simply counting up my (unique per day) votes for scum and dividing by the total number of such votes I cast. 100% means I only ever voted for scum. 0% means I cast at least one vote for town and cast no votes for scum.

Persuasion (How likely are people to join wagons I push?)

For every vote I cast, work out (the number of people who joined the wagon after me before I unvoted or the day ended) / (one less than the number of people needed to lynch). Then average this score for each vote I cast. 100% means that every vote I cast was for somebody who had no votes yet and that person was inevitably lynched, 0% means nobody ever joined a wagon I was on.

Pragmatism (How likely was my vote to be on the final wagon?)

I'm scoring this as 0 if the day ended at deadline with no lynch and I wasn't voting for the largest not-me wagon. Otherwise it's the size of the wagon I was on when the day ended, divided by the number of votes needed for a lynch. And obviously this is averaged over every day I was alive. 100% means I was on every successful lynch. 0% means I was never on a successful lynch.

I'm counting things like the day 1 'choose' mechanic from ADWD as a lynch, but otherwise a lynch is just a normal lynch. Vig-shots and the like don't count. Also, note that numbers might not be completely accurate since I got the data by isoing myself and the mod in each game. Might have missed a couple of votes on me or a couple of additional votes on wagons I started.

Game Name Transparency Accuracy Persuasion Pragmatism
A Dance With Dragons Mafia 100% 40% 47% 50%
Mini 1405 97% 20% 66% 20%
The Wire Season One 95% 17% 63% 75%

... um. Yeah. Pretty obvious what I need to work on, isn't it? I think the 40% accuracy of ADWD is pretty good really (especially as all the relevant votes were cast on day 1). Later two games are clearly below par though.

At least I'm pretty good at sounding like town and getting people to vote for my scum-reads?

Scum Statistics

Haven't drawn a scum role on this (or any other) mafia site since 2008. Presumably I am very very bad at it. If you're reading me in a game and you aren't 100% convinced I'm scum, I'm probably town!

Modding History

No completed games (yet).
