Pick Your Poison

Pick Your Poison is an Open Game Setup. In it, the Mafia choose three roles out of five before the game begins to the town. It was originally designed (in its basic form) by JDodge, but has been tweaked a couple of times to what it is known as now.

Mechanics

  • Daystart
  • Pregame the mafia picks the three powerroles the town has. Those roles are then randomly given to three town players.
  • Cop is guaranteed to be sane.
  • Innocent Child PM's the mod when he or she wants to be declared innocent. The Mod will then announce it in the next post.

Standard Role PMs

Mafia Goon

  • Welcome, [Player Name]. You are a Mafia Goon, along with your partners [Player Name] and [Player Name].

Abilities:

  • Factional communication: During the day or night phase you may talk with your partners here [QuickTopic link].
  • Factional kill: Each night phase, one of you or your partners may perform the factional kill.
  • Before the game begins, you must choose which three of the following abilities to give to town:
  1. Innocent Child
  2. Tracker
  3. 1-shot Cop
  4. Jailkeeper
  5. 2-shot Vigilante

Win condition:

  • You win when all members of the town have been eliminated or nothing can prevent this from occurring.

Vanilla Townie

  • Welcome, [Player Name], you are a Vanilla Townie.

Abilities:

  • Your weapon is your vote, you have no night actions.

Win condition:

  • You win when all threats to the town have been eliminated and there is at least one town player alive.


Town Innocent Child

  • Welcome, [Player Name], you are a Town Innocent Child.

Abilities:

  • At any time during the game, you may PM the moderator and he or she will announce you as an Innocent Child in their next post, confirming you as town.

Win condition:

  • You win when all threats to the town have been eliminated and there is at least one town player alive.


Town Tracker

  • Welcome, [Player Name], you are a Town Tracker.

Abilities:

  • Each night, you may investigate one player in the game and you will discover which player they targeted (if any).

Win condition:

  • You win when all threats to the town have been eliminated and there is at least one town player alive.


Town 1-Shot Cop

  • Welcome, [Player Name], you are a Town 1-Shot Cop.

Abilities:

  • Once at night, you may investigate a player in the game by PM'ing the mod. You will get results back in the form of Town, Mafia or No Result.

Win condition:

  • You win when all threats to the town have been eliminated and there is at least one town player alive.


Town Jailkeeper

  • Welcome, [Player Name], you are a Town Jailkeeper.

Abilities:

  • Each night, you may jailkeep a player in the game by PM'ing the mod. You will simultaneously roleblock and protect that player from one nightkill.

Win condition:

  • You win when all threats to the town have been eliminated and there is at least one town player alive.


Town 2-Shot Vigilante

  • Welcome, [Player Name], you are a Town 2-Shot Vigilante.

Abilities:

  • Twice at night, you may select a player in the game to target for a nightkill.

Win condition:

  • You win when all threats to the town have been eliminated and there is at least one town player alive.
