The First Mafia

Game Type Setup Outcome
Large theme Game surrounding a leader mechanic, with a few roles. Mafia win
Town proved incapable of producing leaders in actual play and this proved disastrous. After a promising day one, town disappeared day two and never got back in the game.

The winners were Cogito Ergo Sum, DrippingGoofball, PetroleumJelly, Killthestory

mini 1742: Flash Blitz

Game Type Setup Outcome
Mini Normal 10p hider 1 shot bp vs goons Mafia win
I still get upset about this review, where the setup got dragged into places where imo it was worse than it had been halfway the process. I think town was dealt a crap hand and the result was unsurprising.

The winners were Albert B. Rampage, Jeanne11

Blitz 22: Flash Blitz

Game Type Setup Outcome
Blitz Cult, Mafia without a kill but 1 rb, 2 halves of a vig, a watcher and some town Mafia win
Town was more or less taken out by a set of modkills, that was a shame.

The winners were Firebringer, Masquerade

Death Miller Mafia

Game Type Setup Outcome
Micro Semi Open Town win
Flubbernugget ruined scum's chances by being a great Jailkeeper.

The winners were Flubbernugget, ZZZX, Ika, Oddmusic, Soft-Spoken, Mikazuki, Fellisan

micro 425 antartic mafia

Game Type Setup Outcome
Micro 3:6 nightless Mafia win
Lylo wasn't brilliant, town should have had a shot at this after a successful d1 lynch.

The winners were Ggg, Lostpatience, Droog

micro 372

Game Type Setup Outcome
Micro Werewolves vs Seer/Odd night BG/Deputy/Townies Werewolf win
Lylo wasn't brilliant, town should have had a shot at this after a successful d1 lynch.

The winners were Feirei, BroodkingEXE

Mini 1586: Shoot yourself in the foot mafia

Game Type Setup Outcome
Mini Theme neighbourizer/janitor vs 1shot bp/champion vs 7 townies where the scum could not nk, but had to give one shot daykills away. Mafia win
Was an attempt at making a multiball setup where town stayed in control and crosskills were avoided. In the end, they indeed did, after murdering many townies, the scumteams won together.

The winners were Jargonaut, Rob13, CooLDoG, Empking

Micro 306: Maneuvre mafia

Game Type Setup Outcome
Micro IC makers vs commuter/RB/3VT's Mafia win
Not being able to kill but in stead having to try to make every townie an innocent child seemed interesting, but scum won just as quickly.

The winners were Fuduzn, Farside22

Red Wine Mafia

Game Type Setup Outcome
Large Theme 3 goons/Neighbourizer vs Elite Bodyguard/busdriver/vengeful Mafia win
I think I was too conservative giving town what they deserved here. Despite great play by them, scum just had too many players.

The winners were Guyett, Natirasha, Cephrir, Espeonage

Lord Patator Charlixion the 6th

Game Type Setup Outcome
Large Theme 2 Zombies vs voyeur/lookout/neighbourizer/ascetic and bunch of townies Zombie win
I do like keeping towns on their toes, but I knocked them out here. An unanounced recruiting faction was a mistake.

The winners were Hoopla, Chkflip, Iecerint, BBmolla

/invitational 13: Battle of Yarmouk

Game Type Setup Outcome
Micro Nightless, champion/conditional doublevoter/goon vs 6 town. Mafia win
Well that was one off the bucket list. And it was a pleasure to see Mith play. A favourite player of mine, Fishythefish, did not stand a chance.

The winners were Mith, KittyMo, Deathrowkitty

Mafia 158: Titanium

Game Type Setup Outcome
Large Normal 1 goon 1 assassin vs 2 masons, 2 RB's, 10 VT Mafia win
Titanium doesn't stop bullets, despite what David Guetta and Sia claim. The idea was that in a balanced game scum got to shoot holes in town, see how town would hold up. Scum chose to not use their daykill, meaning this was a dragged out game where town didn't manage to actually hit scum with their lynches. This wasn't a good game.

The winners were Hiraki, NJAC

micro 38: 7p Micro normal

Game Type Setup Outcome
Micro 2 goons vs Watcher/JK/3VT Mafia win
7P games are still harsh on Town

The winners were Empking, twoupstandinggentlemen

The Game of the Year

Game Type Setup Outcome
Large theme 7 goons, 6 mimes vs 3 angels and 34 VT's Town win
Tiny bit proud of this one. I think I managed to deliver a 50p game that was as fun and as real mafia as it could be without being constricting on the players. The mimes sadly rushed into it a bit too eagerly, or it could have been much closer and easier for the scum, but in the end town just did work.

The winners are in the game thread. Lots of them.

Marius And Sulla

Game Type Setup Outcome
Micro (before that was a thing) theme 2 goons vs Watcher/Busdriver/3VT Mafia win
Town never really were in this one, I fear.

The winners were CogitoErgoSum, Fenchurch

Flash Mafia 3

Game Type Setup Outcome
Large theme Ninja/Janitor/Goon vs White mage, RB, Tracker Town win
Epic list somewhat let down by replacements. This game reinforced my belief from the house of Claudius that Ellibereth is a wonderful PR player. He ruined scum on the white mage, taking out 3 of their kills.

The winners were VPBaltar, Fate, iamausername, shaft.ed, springlullaby, regfan, VPBaltar, Ghostwriter, Farside22, Porochaz

The Big Game

Game Type Setup Outcome
Micro (before that was a thing) theme Lightingrod/GF vs 2 cops and 3VT Mafia win
CES showed his class by winning the game 1v5 without a nightkill, lynching town after town. Shouldn't have given the town 2 cops (which didn't do anything) but they managed to be mature about them anyway. The players made it a good game.

The winners were CogitoErgoSum, Uite

NY120: Flash Mafia 2

Game Type Setup Outcome
Large Normal Forgotten. Mafia win
A young Fishythefish and an old Internet Stranger created a perfect scum win with Untrod Tripod.

The winners were Fishythefish, Untrod_tripod, Internet_Stranger

The house of Claudius

Game Type Setup Outcome
Micro (before that was a thing) theme Mafia poisoners vs one shot vig + 4 town Town win
Scum's later influence into the game hurt them, with Fate and Ellibereth leading the town to a convincing victory

The winners were Ellibereth, Fate, Deathnote, Hackerhuck, Ademisk

Flash Mafia

Game Type Setup Outcome
Closed Theme 1 cop, 9 town vs Goon/usurper/GF Mafia win
Inspired by MD, an game with old style roles from MBF's flash as possible roles. MikeBurnFire solo'd as Usurper to a victory, which was impressive given the strength of the town.

The winners were Rayfrost, Mikeburnfire, PopularTajo

Mini Theme 814

Game Type Setup Outcome
Closed "Theme" Town Tracker and 6 town vs Goon and Silencer, with a neighbour mechanic Town win
Finally past the initial bottleneck of a huge open and normal queue, a "mechanic" of daytalk through QT's was put on a 9p game with a tracker for town and a silencer for scum. Nobody used the mechanic, but the themed queue was way shorter. Town was decisive, didn't bother with coming calmly to lynches, and it showed. In 3 days and 20 pages they rolled up the scum.

The winners were KittyMo, Sanjay, Droideka_11, Oddin, Spinach, Tarballs, Locke_Lamora

Open 126

Game Type Setup Outcome
Open Goons vs 2 out of {cop/doc/rb/vt} Town win
Opens were quicker, apparently, to get modding experience. I think this was my first experience with the amazing Kast. After a succesful lynch d1, town got a reasonably easy win.

The winners were Kast, Acemarksman, Zwetschenwasser, PhilyEc, Wulfy, Gregory, Lowell
