Account Creation

Mastina was created on October 8th, 2016, in honor of her eighth scumday. The reasons for the switch were primarily personal, namely, she herself was calling herself mastina (a name similar to her full name, Brianna, and also a name she really enjoys), and most other people were doing so as well. This helped her a great deal with her gender, helping to firmly establish her presence on the forums as a woman, as it would at least theoretically be harder to misgender her under the name mastina. For her, the switch was simply natural, and felt empowering.

Name Origin

The first person to call Mastina by that name was pirate mollie, with its usage spreading rapidly. The first confirmed intentional usage of it was in their hydra account, helium-3, a hydra of Mastin2 and pirate mollie. It was used on Mon Nov 18, 2013 and in many games following.

However, in a twist, it turns out that technically, pirate mollie was not the first to employ the term, as that honor belongs to AceMarksman, via a typo.
