The Day phase of a Mafia game is characterized as follows:
- The game thread is open.
- All players may post and vote in the game thread unless otherwise specified.
- Role-based abilities such as Cop and Doctor do not work unless otherwise specified.
- The Day ends at a deadline or when a majority of living players are voting for the same player, at which time that player is lynched.
- Private communication between players, including but not limited to personal messages and factional chat, is not allowed unless otherwise specified.
