Buzzword

Buzzword is a tell used to spot someone for being scummy because they are using "buzzwords" to advance a case instead of looking at motivation.

Some common buzzwords include the following:

• "OMGUS"

• "WIFOM"

• "Appeal to Emotion"

• "Flailing"

• "Defensive"

• "IIoA"

• "Buzzword" itself (see below)

What makes buzzwords scummy?

Buzzwords are considered scummy because it is possible to just toss out a couple of them in a stream and have it look bad for whoever is being attacked.

"Oh, you're just Flailing and offering IIoA!"

Boom, insta-elimination!

They tend to allow scum to sound like they're scumhunting without actually working too hard nor putting together an actual and sensible case.

"Buzzword" *is* a Buzzword - the Universe Implodes!

Thor665 has advanced the theory that 'Buzzword' is itself a Buzzword, therefore it is now possible for scum to achieve an easy elimination on someone by indicating that they are using buzzwords and the buzzword of buzzword will get them eliminated. This is very meta and theoretically if taken to its ultimate ending will actually consume the world and end the universe.

Don't operate buzzwords while intoxicated, just to be safe.
