Immutable Rules

R101

All players must always abide by all the rules then in effect.

R102

No proposals can be made or voted upon without at least 3 active players.

R103

A player is considered active when they post /in in the Nomic thread. A player is considered inactive if they have not posted in a week. An inactive player can be considered active if they post re-/in. Inactive players may discuss in the Nomic thread, but may not submit or vote upon proposals. A player is also considered inactive if they post /out.

R104

No rule can be made to stop further amendments, additions, deletions or changes to the rules.

R105

Immutable rules automatically override mutable rules unless an immutable rule specifies otherwise.

R106

Whenever a mutable law conflicts with a mutable law, or an immutable law conflicts with an immutable law, the lowest ordinal shall take precedence unless otherwise dictated by the laws. If both defer to each other, then the number rule applies again.

R107

All active players are eligible to vote and have a single vote.

R109

All immutable rules may be transmuted to mutable rules by unanimous consent.

R110

All mutable rules may be transmuted to immutable rules by obtaining a supermajority.

R111

Unaminous consent is defined as 100% of the active votes in support.

A supermajority is defined as 2/3 (rounded down) of the active votes plus one in support.

An absolute majority is defined as 50% (rounded down) of the active votes plus one in support.

A plurality is defined as having the most votes in support of it in comparison to the competing options. For the purposes of calculating the number of active votes, tally up the total number of votes possessed by all of the active players in the game.

R112

All new rules are mutable.

R113

A current list of all rules, players, proposals, and other important information shall be maintained by all players at wiki.mafiascum.net/index.php?title=Allomancer/Nomic. The list can be updated by any player, active or inactive. The moderator should set a precedent for the format that all other players shall follow. All players shall follow the format set by the Wiki Rules. If a player is unsure of how something should be formatted, they should ask in the Nomic thread.

R113-A1

Amend R113 by replacing "The moderator should set a precedent for the format that all other players shall follow" with "All players shall follow the format set by the Wiki Rules".

Mutable Rules

R201

All immutable rules require unaminous consent to amend or repeal.

R202

All mutable rules require a supermajority to amend or repeal.

R203

Proposals shall begin numbering at P01 and count up by each ordinal number.

When a proposal is made a new rule, the new rules will begin numbering at R301 and count up by each ordinal number.

When a proposal amends a rule, -A1 shall be added to end of the rule number. The number will count up by each ordinal number for subsequent amendments.

R204

Amendments can modify the rule they are a part of. When two amendments to the same rule conflict, the higher amendment number takes precedence.

R205

Proposals require an absolute majority to pass.

R206

Votes for proposals should be done using the vote tags and include "Yea" or "Nay" and include the proposal number.

R301

Players may abstain from voting by VOTE: Abstain P#. Abstentions are neither counted for nor against a proposal, and the voting threshold should be modified accordingly by excluding the abstention from the number of total active votes.

R302

A new set of rules called Wiki Rules shall be created. These rules pertain to the format and maintenance of the wiki and shall begin with number W001 W01 and increase incrementally.

R302-A1

Amend R302 to say W01 instead of W001.

R303

Players automatically vote Yea to their own proposals.

R304

The moderator may not edit or delete other player's posts except when requested to by the player.

R305

All players who create a proposal that eventually gets passed into a rule receive one Dragon Coin. This rule applies retroactively.

R306

All players get one bonus vote which they may use at any time, but they only receive once upon joining the game. This rule applies retroactively.

R307

Any rule that applies to mutable rules also applies to Wiki Rules, unless it says otherwise.

R308

Anyone who manages to get a friend to sign-up for this game receives 1 dragon coin. The person signing up must specify the referent in order for the referent to receive credit.

Wiki Rules

W01

Proper grammar and spelling must be followed at all times on the wiki page. Grammar and spellings that have different rules in different parts of the world can use any correct system.

W02

All proposal text should be preformatted so that there are not several unnecessary paragraph breaks.

W03

A list of yeas, nays, abstentions (if applicable), and players not voting must be kept for all proposals (and in that order.)

Current Proposals

P13

There shall be an office of President. The first voting period for President shall begin when this proposal is passed and last for one week. The term of the President shall be one month. In the last week of each month, there shall be another voting period for a new President. The new President is the player with a plurality of votes at the end of the voting period. If there is a tie, the previous President shall choose the new President from the tied players. If a President becomes inactive, a new one-week voting period for President occurs. If there is a tie for President and the previous President does not post his choice within 72 hours, a die will be rolled with an equal number of sides as the number of tied players to determine the new President.

P17

Breaking a mutable rule results in a penalty of losing 1 dragon coin. In the absence of dragon coins, the player will be noted as abstaining for all proposals until the next proposal that is passed or failed, after which the player may re-vote on all remaining active proposals. Breaking an immutable rule results in a penalty of losing 2 dragon coins. If the player possesses insufficient dragon coins then the player is penalized as previously described except that the number of proposals is equal to the number of dragon coins that the player is short of.

Executive Rules

E01

The mod may declare executive rules, which override all immutable and mutable rules. The mod will only do so if something would comprise the integrity of the game.

E02

No player may edit a post, with the exception of the mod's initial post. Edited posts are considered invalid.

E03

Executive Rules cannot be repealed except by the mod. This declares P03 invalid. Remember, executive rules will only be used when something could compromise the integrity of the game.

E04

Executive Rules override ALL other rules and cannot be vetoed under ANY circumstances besides another Executive Rule.
