/in-vitational

/in-vitationals are a modified form of invitational where players are 'matched' with other players that want to play with them. The only entry criterion is that you satisfy a 'best fit' algorithm for some number of other players. Moderators are usually chosen in a similar manner from among those who wish to moderate one of these games.

Format

Players say they want to play and mods say they want to mod. In addition, they specify who they want to play/mod with and who they don't want to play/mod with. An algorithm (which is constantly being tweaked for efficiency/accuracy) then assigns "optimal" player lists to "optimal" mods. Game size is determined largely by the algorithm, though in practice it tends to generate anything from 5p to 13p.
