Mini Love Mafia is a 12-player open setup with a daystart. The name refers to the fact that it is a mini game (less than 12 players) and that it involves various types of "lover" roles.

Setup

• 2 Mafia Goons
• 1 Mafia Lover
• 3 Town Lovers
• 1 Doctor
• 5 Townies

Mechanics

• Daystart
• There are two pairs of Lovers, Town/Town and a Town/Scum pair.
• Lovers will die from heartbreak immediately upon their other half being eliminated or nightkilled.
• Doctor can only protect the Lover being targeted for the nightkill - not dying from heartbreak.

Mafia Goon

Abilities:

Win condition:

• You win when all members of the town have been eliminated or nothing can prevent this from occurring.

Mafia Lover

• Welcome, [Player Name]. You are a Mafia Lover, along with your partners, [Player Name] and [Player Name]. You are also a lover with [Player Name].

Abilities:

• Factional communication: During the night phase you may talk with your mafia partners here [QuickTopic link].
• Factional kill: Each night phase, one of you or your mafia partners may perform the factional kill.
• Lovers Angst: If your Lover does at any point in the game, you will immediately die from heartbreak.

Win condition:

• You win when all members of the town have been eliminated or nothing can prevent this from occurring.

Town Lover

• Welcome, [Player Name], you are a Town Lover with your partner [Player Name]. You do not know their alignment.

Abilities:

• Lovers Angst: If your Lover does at any point in the game, you will immediately die from heartbreak.

Win condition:

• You win when all threats to the town have been eliminated.

Town Doctor

• Welcome, [Player Name], you are a Town Doctor.

Abilities:

• Each night phase, you may protect one player in the game from being nightkilled.
• You cannot prevent a Lover from dying from heartbreak.

Win condition:

• You win when all threats to the town have been eliminated.

Vanilla Townie

• Welcome, [Player Name], you are a Vanilla Townie.

Abilities:

• Your weapon is your vote, you have no night actions.

Win condition:

• You win when all threats to the town have been eliminated.

Criticisms

• If the Town/Town lover pair is eliminated or nightkilled, it automatically confirms one mafia player to town. It's highly unlikely the Mafia Lover will survive deep into the game, as the odds of being caught via process of elimination increases.
